Rob previously headed up the Employment Law Division at Deneys Reitz Attorneys, a large national law firm. Under his tenure, this division grew to become the preeminent employment law practice in the country catering for corporate clients. Rob has represented Business South Africa in a number of areas, particularly the negotiation and drafting of the Labour Relations Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Acts through NEDLAC and Parliament. He acts for a wide range of industry based national employer organisations and has represented major corporate clients internationally and nationally in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, where he has been based for the past ten years.

David, like Rob, was previously a member of the Deneys Reitz Employment Law Division. He has vast experience as a practitioner in the labour law field, especially with respect to labour litigation. His experience includes acting for major clients in the mining, hospitality and retail sectors.

Xolani is an admitted attorney specialising in employment law. After political exile in Angola, Zambia and Tanzania, he returned to South Africa and studied towards and completed a BIuris LLB at the University of the Western Cape. After completing his articles in Mthatha and practicing as an attorney in Natal, he has gained valuable experience in the corporate world in various positions with large multinational corporations in the Industrial Relations field. He has since commencing employment with the firm completed his LLM, specialising in Labour Law.

Jose, with Rob, is based in Cape Town. He is an admitted attorney and is in the process of completing his dissertation for an LLM in labour law. His special areas of interest and practise include individual dismissal, minimum standards regulation and employment contracts.

Kate is an admitted attorney who began her articles at the Sandton office in 2003. She completed her BA, LLB and LLM (in commercial and employment law)at the University of Witwatersrand. Her interests include employment equity and privacy law.

Mairéad is an admitted attorney who began her articles at the Sandton office in April 2004. She was awarded her LLM by Rhodes University in Grahamstown with distinction in 2003 and her interests include individual labour law, human rights and constitutional litigation, particularly, socio-economic rights.

Doctor joined the Sandton office on 2 July 2007 as a Candidate Attorney. He completed his LLB at University of Witwatersrand in 2004. He has been working as an associate to the Judge President of the Labour Appeal Court and Labour Court since November 2005. His interests lie with labour law and current affairs and the impact these have on the country.

Anita Stewart-Smythe has started as a Candidate Attorney in the firm, based in Cape Town. Anita is a graduate of Rhodes University, she has a BSc in Botany, and an LLB. She was a regular placement on the Dean's merit list, and achieved her academic half-colours. Her other achievements include her admission in 2005 as a licenced mining prospector in Zimbabwe.
